We had a slap up lunch in the Welby and a pint service was quick, food was what you expect for the price and the staff make sure you have everything you need. Cheers guys
I don't expect classiness at a Hungry Horse but at least basic levels of decency. Large family (with young children) sat next to us and a skin head dad who would swear his head off loudly. Large party who rearranged tables so they're not far from sitting on your lap. Children running around. Food average. Staff attentive.
Breakfast was cold, as were the plates but once sent back to the kitchen it was excellent. Staff were great.
I work as Lorralaughs The Clown / Magician / Balloon Modeller and as Santa at The Welby - have always had a nice time in lovely Melton Mowbray very kind and friendly management, staff, customers and children - been entertaining there for 4 years and never had any issues or problems - always a joy!!! Just worked as Santa at Breakfast With Santa on the 22/12/2018 & had a fantastic time with over 80 children and parents in attendance.......such a happy place can't wait to return!!!!
It's a family, cheap night out.. food is very good value , hot and as expected. Drinks are varied for kids and adults.. if you want pub food good place to eat..if you want to.meet your mates for a drink ..great place to.meet.. it's a special occasion place as affordable for tight budgets and families. It delivers what it says on the menus!!!! Enjoy
