Friendly and welcoming ambiance, frequented by locals, good beer and also dining, difficult to make a living with a country pub, so overall a little tired, showing its age

Excellent food. Service was great. A brilliant lunch time treat.
Dropped one star for serving a child's roast dinner on a red hot plate with a totally cremated Yorkshire pudding. Also five meals really warranted more than just 4 cauliflower florets between them. The shared veg bowl was scarcely enough for three people.What there was, was very tasty indeed.
