Si and his team give great service with every visit It is always busy and it's great value too. On one occasion when my Mum was too poorly to go, they plated up 4 Carvery Meals for us so I could take them to her! Our next visit is already planned. A must place to visit when in town!
We had the carvery this afternoon. The service was excellent and the food great. Many thanks to the waitress that volunteered to help my elederly mother.
Sunday lunch for 21, everyone happy with their meals and the great service. Despite being really busy, the staff were great and the food was it's usual high standard. A resounding success!
This is easily the worst hotel experience I've ever had. All aspects of this hotel is disappointing. Starting with our room, tiles missing in the bathroom, stains on bedding, wallpaper falling off wall due to damp, broken TV remote and generally dirty all round. Chairs in restaurant are all stained with God knows what. Ceiling was leaking above bar, buckets placed to catch whatever is was leaking. Fire alarms hanging from ceilings. I wish I could post the pictures and video I've taken of this place. I didn't even want to give it one star!! The pictures on the website are so misleading. Avoid at all costs!
I visit Melton Mowbray 2 or 3 times a year and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Fantastic staff and owners who will do anything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Good food, ale and accommodation. Top marks for this place.
